KC police investigate shooting death of a man found outside home

Kansas City police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found late Sunday sprawled in the front yard of a residence in the 5600 block of East 16th Terrace.

Officers found the body after being summoned to the residence just before 11:30 p.m. on an ambulance call. Police do not know how long the man had been there before they arrived.

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
