Man shot in car in east KC dies at hospital
Police are investigating a crime scene on Kansas City’s east side after a victim shot in his car died at an area hospital Sunday.
A woman who was driving the car said they were sitting in the 3800 block of East Garfield Avenue around 3 p.m. when a man approached the car and shot the victim — a man in his 20s — several times.
The woman rushed the victim to the hospital, but he was reported dead around 4 p.m.
No information on the suspect was available. Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
