Kansas City teen severely wounded in shooting has died
A 16-year-old girl who was severely wounded in a shooting in the 7900 block of Manchester Avenue on Wednesday has died, according to Kansas City police.
The victim was identified as Alexis Mitchell. Officers responding to the scene found the girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A person was taken into custody. No other details were released.
