KC man sentenced to life in prison for murder near Raytown school building
A 43-year-old Kansas City man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison for a murder that occurred outside a Raytown school building.
Falonzo Davis was found guilty by a jury in February of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the February 2014 shooting of 30-year-old Steven L. Jones. Davis suspected Jones had been seeing his wife. The shooting prompted the evacuation of the Success Academy. No students or staff were injured.
