KC police investigating double shooting that leaves one dead

Kansas City police officers investigating the sound of shots about 11 p.m. Sunday found a mortally wounded man in a front yard in the 1500 block of East 77th Terrace.

The man, whom police described as in his late 20s, died a short time later, police said.

About two blocks away, officers located a second wounded person with serious injuries believe to have been injured during the same shooting event.
