Independence police release the name of 33-year-old man found fatally shot
A 33-year-old man who was fatally shot late Thursday inside a residence in the 1500 block of South Pearl Street in Independence has been identified as Christopher L. King.
Officers responded to the incident at 10:49 p.m. Arriving officers found the victim outside, in the front of the house. King, an Independence resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspect information was released. Authorities have not said what prompted the shooting.
