Independence seeks driver who fled fatal accident

Independence police were searching Friday night for a driver who fled the scene of a fatal accident on foot.

The accident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. at U.S. 24 and Blue Mills Road. Police were using a helicopter to aid in the search.
