Johnson County officers shut down Gardner area after a shooting
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department shut down an area in Gardner on Thursday night after a reported shooting.
Police radio traffic indicated a woman was injured and taken to a hospital.
The incident was reported shortly before 10 p.m. in the 400 block of North Birch Street.
Numerous units were initially dispatched from several other jurisdictions. Police shut down Birch Street near the scene. It is a residential area near North Moonlight Road and East Madison Avenue.
