One person shot, killed inside vehicle at car wash on Independence Avenue in KC
One person was shot and killed Friday inside a vehicle at a car wash in northeast Kansas City.
The victim was shot shortly before 6:30 p.m. at Avenue Car Wash in the 5700 block of Independence Avenue. The area is near Wilson Avenue.
Police did not immediately release a motive for the shooting or suspect information.
The homicide was the city’s 82nd of the year, compared to 56 at the same time last year.
