KC police release name of man fatally shot in road rage incident
Kansas City police have identified a 19-year-old man fatally shot during a road rage incident at 104th Street and Holmes Road on Thursday as Christopher Hutson.
Officers found Hutson and a woman in a vehicle at about 4:15 p.m. at the busy intersection on Holmes Road, near Interstate 435.
Police said that a white male driver with a bald head yelled at the victims through their car window, “stating they were driving too slow and get out of the way.”
The motorist pulled up to pass Hutson and the woman. Hutson then sped up and pulled up next to the man and argued with him. The shooting happened moments later, police said.
Hutson was shot in the head and later died. A woman in the car was grazed by a bullet but was not seriously injured.
Police did not have a detailed description of the shooter, other than a blue vehicle fled the area after the shooting.
