Kansas City Police Department published a surveillance video of a person of interest on the one-year anniversary of the killing of Eric Anderson in the parking lot of Kansas City’s Blue Bird Motel. The person of interest, seen in a KCATA bus video, appears to be familiar with the area around 31st Street and Indiana Avenue, police said. His voice is heard speaking with the bus driver. The man is wearing a black puffy vest over a patterned hoodie.

Frank Davila, known as Frankie D, was killed while trying to fight off a carjacker on Wednesday in Kansas City, Kan. Police said that Davila died just after 10 a.m. when he was confronted by a carjacker in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue. During the struggle, he was dragged down the street and fatally injured. Ronald O. Hunt, 58, of Edwardsville was killed by an off-duty KCK police captain inside the Lenexa Costco on Sunday. Police say he was apparently living in his truck, which was parked on the far east side of the Costco parking lot at the time of the shooting. According to reports, Hunt walked into the store screaming and holding a gun.
