Body in Kansas City lake identified

A young man found dead in a Kansas City lake Wednesday was identified Friday as Shawn E. Taylor.

Police said that Taylor, 19, of Kansas City, was found in Troost Lake at 27th Street and Paseo.

Taylor was found about 8 a.m. Wednesday floating face down about 15 feet from the embankment on the north side of the lake, according to police.

A cause of death has not yet been released.
