Two killed in separate KC shootings overnight; one victim ID’d

Two people died early Sunday morning in separate shootings in the Kansas City metro area, police said.

Kansas City police officers found 30-year-old Darrell Fennell dead of a gunshot wound at 1:18 a.m. at the intersection of Truman Road and Woodland Avenue. No details were released of what prompted the shooting.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. in Kansas City, Kan., officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Oakland Avenue to check on the welfare of a man who was reportedly lying down outside. They discovered a man in his late teens who had been shot and killed. His name has not been released.

P0olice have no suspects in either case.
