Robbery and shooting in Kansas City’s Northeast area leaves man dead
Kansas City police are investigating a shooting early Tuesday at St. John and Cypress avenues that left a man dead.
Officers responded to a disturbance call just before 5 a.m. that was quickly upgraded to a shooting call.
Police arrived and found the victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told officers that someone approached him as he was walking, robbed and then shot him.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police have not released the man’s name pending notification of relatives.
