The suspects in the carjacking and assault of an 82-year-old Kansas City, Kan., priest allegedly attacked and robbed another person Thursday afternoon, police say.

A car stolen from the Rev. Thomas Kearns on Oct. 21 was left at the scene of the other carjacking that occurred about 2:30 p.m. Thursday near 10th Street and New Jersey Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.

The victim in the Thursday incident was punched in the face and his vehicle was stolen, according to police.

The suspects wrecked that vehicle and left it abandoned near Fifth Street and Ann Avenue.

They remained at large Friday.

Kearns was attacked outside Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 22nd Street and Parallel Parkway.

He was also punched in the face and knocked unconscious. He later required surgery to repair broken facial bones.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
