Man found in vehicle with gunshot wound in KCK later dies

Kansas City, Kan., police responding to an accident shortly before midnight Sunday found a man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound.

The accident was reported about 11:43 p.m. in the 900 block of Argentine Boulevard, police said. When officers arrived, they discovered a man in his 40s who had been shot. The man was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police said the man's name has not been released pending positive identification and notification of relatives.

The shooting remains under investigation, and police ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
