KCK police release name of Saturday shooting victim
The man who died of gunshot wounds Saturday in Kansas City, Kan., has been identified as Steven L. Sykes, 36, police said Monday.
Police said they discovered the victim when officers responded to a disturbance in the 3100 block of North 21st Street. Sykes was a resident of Kansas City, Kan.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department's Major Case Unit. Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
