On Aug. 24 at approximately 1407 hours, deputies responded to the area of Missouri B to assist Archie Chief Brian Koehn with a vehicle pursuit. One suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Cass County jail.

On Aug. 22 at approximately 2318 hours, a deputy conducted a residence check in the 17000 block of South Benton Drive in Belton. One subject was arrested on an active Cass County warrant.
08/23/17 17:40 NB49/163, BELTON
On Aug. 23 at about 1740 hours, a deputy stopped a 1998 Lexus bearing an expired Texas license plate. Upon contacting the driver, Kenneth D. Brown was placed under arrest on four Grandview police warrants for domestic violence.

On Aug. 25, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a tan Buick on Missouri D near 164th Street in Belton. The driver was arrested for three Jackson County warrants and issued summons for driving while suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and improper display of license plates.

On Aug. 26 at 1540 hours, a deputy was dispatched to northbound I-49 and North Cass Parkway in reference to providing K-9 assistance to the Missouri State Highway Patrol who were on scene of a traffic stop. K-9 Champ alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, and during a probable cause search, marijuana paraphernalia was located.

On Aug. 26 at approximately 2109 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 4000 block of East 183rd Street in reference to an assault that had occurred. The deputy made contact with a male who advised he had been assaulted. A suspect has been identified.

On Aug. 21 at approximately 2328 hours, a deputy observed a female operating a motor vehicle on Missouri 291 and 215th Street. A stop of that vehicle revealed that the driver was suspended. She was issued a summons and released.

On Aug. 28 at approximately 0432 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle crash on Missouri 2, south of Missouri M. Upon arrival, the deputy located a utility pole that had been destroyed. An abandoned vehicle with consistent damage was located near the scene.

On Aug. 21 at approximately 0233 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Missouri A and Locust Street on a red passenger car for a lane violation. The passenger in the car was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the jail.

On Aug. 25 at approximately 0918 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of South Missouri C in Peculiar in reference to a motor vehicle crash. An investigation revealed a single vehicle crashed into the fence at this address and caused property damage.

On Aug. 25 at approximately 1147 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 27000 block of Missouri O in Freeman in reference to a residence check. An investigation revealed multiple subjects at this address had active warrants. Arrests were made.

On Aug. 23 at approximately 1352 hours, a deputy responded to the area of 299th Street and Old Missouri 7 in Garden City in regard to a report of a abandoned stolen motor vehicle. The deputy contacted an officer with the Garden City Police Department who had located a maroon 1993 Ford Ranger that had been reported stolen out of Smithville. The vehicle was removed from the scene by J’s Southland Tow and transported to their secure facility.

On Aug. 23 at approximately 1537 hours, a deputy conducted an investigation in regard to suspicious activity at the residence in the 26000 block of South Missouri Z in rural Garden City. The deputy spoke with the homeowner who provided information regarding a male subject who stated he was with Direct TV doing “door to door surveys.” Upon contacting Direct TV to inquire if they had any sales people in the area, the deputy was informed that their company does not send people to residences for surveys. A report was taken to document the suspicious activity.

On Aug. 26, a deputy was dispatched to the area of South Dillon Road and East 229th Street in reference to a check-the-welfare call of a male subject. The deputy made contact with Chance Poindexter who had active warrants out of Raymore. Poindexter was placed into custody and transported to the Raymore Police Department.

On Aug. 21, a deputy conducted an investigation of an attempt to steal a Ford F-350 from a residence in the 24000 block of East 275th Street near Harrisonville. The deputy made contact with the victim who said someone tried to steal her Ford F-350 sometime within the last week. She said the ignition had been damaged on the vehicle by the suspects. No suspects have been identified in this investigation at this time.

On Aug. 21 at 1643 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the northbound exit ramp to Mechanic Street from I-49 on a green 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe. The male driver was arrested for an active warrant out of Cass County for failing to appear on a charge of assault with a bond of $3,000.

On Aug. 21 at 1734 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the parking lot of the Wood Oil gas station and convenience store located near the intersection of Commercial Street and Wall Street in reference to providing K-9 assistance to the Harrisonville Police Department who were on the scene of a traffic stop. K-9 Champ alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle and during a probable cause search, marijuana paraphernalia and an illegal weapon were located.

On Aug. 22, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Lexington Street and Polk Street in Harrisonville. The driver, Cody E. Ford, was arrested on a Harrisonville warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Aug. 24, a deputy responded to the 22000 block of South Jefferson Parkway in regard to a stolen vehicle. Through an investigation, it was determined a black 2000 Ford F-350 flatbed had been stolen. At this time, a suspect had not been determined.

On Aug. 25 at approximately 1445 hours, a deputy reported that an inmate received a small laceration on his wrist from contact with the cell door. The inmate received medical treatment.

On Aug. 26 at 1114 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Wall Street and Butler Street in reference to providing K-9 assistance to the Harrisonville Police Department who were on the scene of a traffic stop. K-9 Champ alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, and methamphetamine paraphernalia was located during a probable cause search.

On Aug. 27 at approximately 1943 hours, a deputy conducted a vehicle check at Harrisonville North Park. Subject was arrested on active Cass County warrant for failure to appear on non-support. Subject was also found to have an active felony warrant out of Wyandotte County, Kan. The warrant did not have a bond listed. Numerous other charges are being investigated.

On Aug. 22 at approximately 1116 hours, a deputy investigated a burglary which occurred in the 24000 block of Miller Road. The reporting party advised several items had been taken. No suspect has been identified.

On Aug. 25 at approximately 0506 hours, a deputy attempted a vehicle stop in the area of 251st Street and Miller on a white truck for having non-working tail lights. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the vehicle was later taken into custody and transported to the jail.

On Aug. 26 at 0132 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on southbound I-49 at Peculiar Way on a maroon 1997 Ford Ranger with a Missouri license plate for illegal window tint. The male driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and cited for this offense.

On Aug. 23 at approximately 2139 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the Pleasant Hill Police Department in reference to an assault that took place in the 24000 block of East 189th Street. The victim stated she was assaulted. Suspect was identified.

On Aug. 22 at approximately 1934 hours, a deputy was dispatched to a fight in progress in the 1200 block of North Mullen Avenue outside of Raymore. Upon arrival, one female was taken into custody. The victim was contacted.
08/22/17 19:30 WASHINGTON, RAYMORE
On Aug. 22 at 1930 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of North Washington Street in Raymore in reference to providing K-9 assistance to the Raymore Police Department who were on the scene of a search warrant. K-9 Champ was placed in a gray Nissan Altima which was parked in the driveway but he did not give an alert for the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.

On Aug. 26 at 1616 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Missouri J and Hubach Hill Road in reference to to providing K-9 assistance to the Raymore Police Department who were on the scene of a traffic stop. The deputy was asked to have K-9 Champ conduct an area search for narcotics that the suspect may have thrown during the stop. K-9 Champ did not alert on anything in the area.

On Aug. 27 at 0210 hours, a deputy assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the pursuit of a green 1999 Dodge Ram. After coming to a stop, K-9 Champ was deployed and successfully apprehended the male suspect. He was arrested for felony resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. He was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest and a suspended Missouri operator’s license.

On Aug. 27, a deputy conducted a stealing investigation in the 400 block of South Missouri CC in Strasburg. The deputy made contact with the victim who reported both of his Missouri license plates stolen off of his 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The victim could not say when or where the plates were taken. No suspects have been identified in this investigation.
