Single-engine plane makes emergency landing in Clay County field

A single-engine plane made an emergency landing Monday night in a field near Excelsior Springs.

There were no injuries, the Clay County Sheriff said via Twitter about 10 p.m. Monday.

The pilot was the only one aboard the plane at the time of the emergency. The FAA will investigate.
