Hand lost in Kansas City fireworks accident

Kansas City Police Chief Daryl Forte said on Twitter that a fireworks accident cost a man one of his hands Friday night.

The accident occurred in the 3600 block of Bales Avenue.

Forte said the incident involved a half stick of dynamite.

Police did not release the man’s name.
