One killed in Kansas City house fire
A man died in a house fire in Kansas City early Sunday, a fire official said.
Firefighters responded to the fire about 12:47 a.m. in the 3900 block of East 72nd Street, said Deputy Chief James Garrett, a spokesman for the fire department.
Besides the fatality, no one else was injured in fire, Garrett said.
There’s a 72-hour hold on disclosing the cause of the fire while the Kansas City police bomb and arson squad investigates, he said.
A neighbor, Earl Goodman, said the man lived at the house with three other people.
