Dog bites local woman at Overland Park party
A New Year Eve’s party in Overland Park turned rough for a 23-year-old woman who was attacked by a dog, according to police.
The victim, who was not named, told police that at 3.a.m. Thursday she was approached by a brown and white “Bulldog type” dog who bit her without being provoked. The attack occurred outside of an apartment in the area of 87th Street and Grant where the party was being held.
The victim said some persons pulled the dog away from her and took it to another apartment. She was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, according to Overland Park police.
