Teen killed in Kansas City traffic crash

The victim of a fatal traffic crash Saturday night in Kansas City was identified Monday as 16-year-old James Hubbard.

Kansas City police said that Hubbard was a rear-seat passenger in a car that wrecked about 11:15 p.m. Saturday at 26th Street and Oakley Avenue.

The car, a Honda Civic, was heading south on Oakley when the driver lost control, according to police. The car jumped a curb and collided with a tree.

The driver and a front-seat passenger were also injured and taken to a hospital.
