Police warn about aggressive dog after man is bitten in Overland Park
Overland Park police have asked the public to be on the lookout for an aggressive dog that bit a pedestrian early Saturday at Antioch Road and 87th Street, sending the man to a hospital.
The dog was dark brown and black, weighing about 50 pounds, with no collar or tags. The breed is unknown.
The pedestrian was bitten by the dog about 4 a.m. near the Price Chopper at 87th Street and Antioch Road. The dog ran east across Antioch Road.
“We’d also like to stress to the public to use caution with any stray dogs in the area of this attack,” police said.
The man was treated and released from the hospital after receiving care for several injuries.
