Belton police searching for clues in early morning shooting

Belton police are trying to find out who killed a 36-year-old man found mortally wounded early Monday in the area of Springdale Drive.

After receiving a 911 call from two individuals, authorities responded at 1:57 a.m. Monday. Oficers discovered Chad Donaldson, of Belton, on the street, suffering from a gunshot wound. The area is two blocks from where Bel-Ray Drive ends and becomes Springdale.

Donaldson was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Belton Police Sgt. Brad Swanson said authorities have no further information and were still working to identify a suspect.
