Chilly weather and a chance of showers for World Series Game 2 at Kauffman Stadium
Fans headed out to Kauffman Stadium for Game 2 of the World Series will want to bundle up — it’s going to be a chilly game.
Though Wednesday’s highs are expected to reach into the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, temperatures are expected to cool off after the sun sets, according to hourly forecasts from the National Weather Service.
Temperatures at 7 p.m., shortly before the start of the game between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets, will be in the lower 50s. Temperatures will likely be in the upper 40s for most of the game, according to the forecast.
People headed outside Wednesday night might want to consider taking a poncho or other rain gear. A few showers are possible between 6 to 10 p.m., the National Weather Service said in a tweet.
Winds are expected to be in the single digits during the game.
Overnight, temperatures outside the Kansas City metropolitan area are expected to fall into the lower to middle 30s, bringing along the chance for patchy frost in many areas, according to the National Weather Service.
After Wednesday night, next chance for rain appears to be late Friday night into Saturday.
