Charge filed in KCK homicide
A 29-year-old woman has been charged in the June stabbing death of a Kansas City, Kan., man.
Natasha Tone-Pah-Hote is charged in Wyandotte County District Court with first-degree murder. She is accused of killing 60-year-old Richard Vertz Jr. on June 26 at his residence in the 2300 block of West 39th Avenue.
Police did not determine the death was a homicide until an autopsy revealed that Vertz had been stabbed to death.
Tone-Pah-Hote was taken into custody last week by Kansas City police. She is being held in the Wyandotte County Jail. Bond is set at $750,000.
