Car crashes through Gardner Mexican restaurant after driver’s medical emergency
A car crashed through the front of a Mexican restaurant in Gardner on Tuesday after a driver experienced a medical emergency.
Officers with the Gardner Police Department responded to La Carreta, a Mexican restaurant at 949 East Lincoln Lane, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Capt. Zachary Roberts, the police department’s administrative commander, said in an email to The Star.
A vehicle struck the front of the restaurant and entered the front of the business, Roberts said. Investigators believe the driver of the vehicle may have been experiencing a medical event at the time of the crash.
No one appeared to be injured, including the driver, as a result of the crash, Roberts said. Investigators are still investigating the incident.
