Mama Buffet restaurant in Gladstone damaged by fire

The Mama Buffet restaurant in Gladstone was damaged by fire Saturday night, authorities said.

The fire was reported at the restaurant at 6000 Northeast Antioch Road shortly before 10 p.m. An hour later, the fire appeared to be nearly out, officials said.

The extent of the damage was not immediately known.
