Electrical fire creates haze inside KC’s second-tallest building
Kansas City firefighters responding to an alarm about 8:35 a.m. Thursday at the Town Pavilion reported smoke in a parking garage and lower levels of the skyscraper.
Crews soon reported that a possible electrical fire in a utility room had created light smoke and haze in the 38-story building, Kansas City’s second-tallest, at 1111 Main Street.
Because of the building’s size, fire department dispatchers sent four pumper trucks, two rescue trucks, four ladder trucks and other units to the scene.
