Wells Fargo announces grants to help KC neighborhoods

Eight non-profit organizations will get grants to assist with neighborhood revitalization in Kansas City, Wells Fargo announced Thursday.

The grants total $500,000 for programs that help homeless and at-risk families find homes, provide workforce training or provide housing counseling and foreclosure prevention.

Recipients are: ReStart, $250,000; Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center, $80,000; Catholic Charities of Kansas-City St. Joseph, $50,000; Guadalupe Centers, $35,000; Sheffield Place, $35,000; Women’s Employment Network, $20,000; Kansas Children’s Service League, $20,000, and ReEngage, $10,000.
