Threat of severe weather overnight in the Kansas City area
UPDATED at 6:30 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning continues for southern Randolph, Howard and Cooper counties in Missouri. until 7 p.m.
The National Weather Service said hazards include quarter-size hail and 60 mph winds.
The metropolitan area remains under a flash flood watch until 10 a.m. Thursday.
