Residents escape intense Kansas City house fire, one through a window
Residents of a house near 37th Street and Wayne Avenue safely escaped when flames engulfed their Kansas City house early Wednesday.
One man, who has a handicap, had to escape through a window, according to media reports.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 2:45 a.m.
KMBC reported that some of the firefighters who responded to the fire were the same ones who battled the three-alarm warehouse fire Tuesday afternoon on Southwest Boulevard.
