Man dies in wreck on Interstate 70
A 68-year-old Kansas City area man died late Friday night after the Chevrolet TrailBlazer he was driving struck another vehicle on Interstate 70 and rolled over, Independence police said.
According to police, the man was driving westbound on I-70, just east of Little Blue Parkway, about 11:30 p.m. Friday when his TrailBlazer overtook and struck a Honda SUV. The man lost control of his SUV and it rolled over, police said. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are not releasing the man’s name until his family has been notified. No one in the other vehicle was injured, police said.
