Glenwood at Red Bridge movie theater has closed
The four-screen Glenwood at Red Bridge theater in south Kansas City has closed.
Brian Mossman, an owner of the company that operated the theater, said Wednesday the lease was not renewed and the last day of business was Sunday.
Fine Arts Theatre Group had operated the Glenwood at the Red Bridge Shopping Center for five years, Mossman said. The theater, at 11118 Holmes Road, ran both first-run commercial films and art films.
The shopping center is owned by S Management Group, a Des Moines real estate and property management firm. Company officials could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
The Fine Arts Theatre Group, owned by Mossman and his brother Ben Mossman, operates three other movie houses in the Kansas City area — the Leawood, the Rio and the Glenwood Arts.
