Xceligent, a commercial real estate information firm, has moved into new headquarters in Blue Springs and plans to hire an additional 200 people over the next two years, community development officials announced Wednesday.

The company opened the 40,000-square-foot headquarters at 101 S.E. Magellan Drive in December as part of a consolidation that included moving some employees from operations in Lee’s Summit and Independence, according to a release from Blue Springs city and development officials. Xceligent currently has 150 employees in Blue Springs.

The firm has invested $525,000 in its new facility, Blue Springs officials said.

“Xceligent is strong, vibrant and growing significantly,” Doug Curry, the company’s chief executive, said in a statement. “When evaluating areas for expansion, we needed a facility that could accommodate future growth in a community that is attractive to qualified job candidates.”

The firm is looking for entry-level research associates, and the average starting salary is $35,000. To apply, applicants should go to the company website at

Among the information services provided by Xceligent to real estate professionals are a comprehensive inventory of commercial properties, buildings available for lease and sale, tenant information, and market analytics and demographics.
