Kauffman Stadium’s new bar serves barrel-aged Old-Fashioned cocktails
Kauffman Stadium is rolling out new World Series-worthy food and drink offerings along with some new American League championship gear.
Barrel Bar, at section 320 on the loge level, is a recently opened high-end bar serving premium spirits, mixed drinks and beer. It has been aging Old-Fashioned cocktails (Knob Creek whiskey, blood orange liqueur and orange bitters) in two oak barrels.
“We’ve had very good success with that and going through a lot so it hasn’t been aging as long as we would like,” said Mark Carter, Aramark’s premium services director at Kauffman. “Next year we might add more elevated snack foods — more than popcorn.”
Another new venue, Craft & Draft, which launched on opening day on the left-field loge level, has rolled out some new menu items for the World Series:
▪ Surf & turf: Pan-seared filet mignon medallions, jumbo shrimp, chipotle Bearnaise sauce and scalloped potatoes.
▪ Seared scallops: Prosciutto-wrapped scallops with smoked cheddar and Gouda cheesy grits.
▪ Chicken and waffles: Buttermilk fried chicken and chipotle cheddar waffle.
▪ Craft Stack: Chorizo verde with house pork belly bacon and fried egg on a butter grilled onion brioche.
The Marketplace, which opened in section 203 in midseason, also has added some new hearty menu items for the fall:
▪ Butternut squash bisque with candied pecans.
▪ Smoked turkey breast panini with cranberry aioli and aged cheddar on a Farm to Market Bread Co. baguette.
▪ Homemade turkey chili with shredded cheddar and sour cream.
▪ Hand-dipped caramel apples.

To celebrate the Kansas City Royals winning the 2015 American League championship, Aramark, the team’s official retail partner, is now selling 2015 American League championship gear in the Majestic Team Store. More items are expected later this week.
