Sweet shop coming to Overland Park with macarons, cookie butter truffles and more
San Francisco-based Lolli & Pops will open a store in Overland Park this fall.
Lolli & Pops stocks such premium candies and confections as colorful French macarons, marzipan fruits, chocolate sea salt potato chips, cookie butter truffles and vanilla snowflake marshmallows — all from local, national and international purveyors with selections changing often.
The stores feature an old-fashioned sweet shop decor including chalkboards and employees dressed in bow ties, striped aprons and straw boater hats.
It has already started construction on the Oak Park Mall store on the lower level near Dillard’s South at 11149 W. 95th St.
It will be the 42nd location for the chain but it plans nearly 40 more by the end of 2018. A father and son founded Lolli & Pops in 2012 to curate high-quality sweets from across the world.
