Preparedness Fair Helps Emporia Community Prepare for Any Scenario

The Emporia Community went down to the Anderson Building at the Lyon County Fairgrounds to learn how to prepare for any sort of scenario. People could learn anything from certain rope knots to canning food to what to pack in an emergency pack.

Vendors also offered information on what their company provides, whether it was a rabbit farm, emergency responders or Kansas Gas Services and their interactive kiosk. The Emporia Fire and EMS department were also at the fair to provide information on what they do and how to contact them, while also providing food for the fair.

The fair offered many different things and the Emporia Community came out to learn more about how to handle various situations, how to contact certain emergency services, and how to be prepared for any scenario.
