Shatto Milk Company releases new Chai Latte Milk

Shatto Milk Co.’s latest limited-edition flavor is a collaboration.

Shatto is combining its all natural milk with chai that is slow-brewed in micro-lots by Kansas City’s Hugo Tea Co.

The new Chai Latte Milk, which will be in half-liter bottles with the word “harmony” on the side, is scheduled to hit store shelves on Oct. 13. Only 4,000 of the half-liter bottles were created, and they are expected to sell out quickly. The milk also will be available in pint-size bottles through early November.

“They are local people and have excellent tea, and we wanted to pair it with our milk,” said Barbara Shatto of Shatto Milk Co. “It is delicious. It can be served warm or cold. If you serve it warm, put a dollop of whipped cream made with Shatto cream on top and sprinkle it with cinnamon.”

The family-owned Shatto dairy farm, in Osborn, Mo., also makes a variety of milk flavors, along with cheese, butter, ice cream, ice cream treats and other dairy products. More than 12,000 people visit the farm annually.
