Another big singles run in a major isn’t in the cards for Blue Valley North grad Jack Sock.

After making it to the round of 16 at the French Open before losing in four sets to Rafael Nadal, Sock, seeded No. 31, lost to Sam Groth 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Sock was treated for an injury during the fourth set.

On Monday, Sock and doubles partner Vasek Pospisil got the better of Groth and Sergiy Stakhovsky, winning 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 in the first round. Sock and Pospisil won the doubles title at Wimbledon in 2014.
