Yeah, Chiefs quarterback Nick Foles likely will have a bit of motivation in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Rams in Los Angeles.
In July, the Rams cut Foles. In fact, coach Jeff Fisher called Nick Foles to deliver the news. Foles had wanted to be released by the Rams, and NFL.com reported that he agreed to reduce the guarantee in his base salary from $1.75 million to $1 million in exchange for his release.
But Foles probably wasn’t thrilled to know that the phone call he received from Fisher ended up being part of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”

All’s well that ends well. Foles ended up signing with the Chiefs and coach Andy Reid. When Reid was the Philadelphia Eagles coach, he picked Foles with the 88th overall pick in the 2012 draft.
