Fan wanted to trade Raul A. Mondesi’s home-run ball for beer and tickets

All credit for this goes to Fox Sports Kansas City’s Joel Goldberg for locating the fans who ended up with this particular ball on Tuesday night.

Raul A. Mondesi hit his first big-league homer in the Royals’ 6-1 win at Detroit, and the fan who got the ball gave it to a 9-year-old kid, which is always the right thing to do.

Naturally, Mondesi wanted the ball and that’s when the father of the boy realized his son had a Golden Ticket. As Joel notes, dad “set the bar high” when negotiations started for the ball.
