Royals’ Lorenzo Cain let out a yelp after his Salvy Splash

A lesson learned from the Ice Bucket Challenge of 2014 is that have a bucket of ice-cold water dumped on your head is not particularly pleasant.

And, yet, that’s part of the Royals’ postgame celebration.

On Monday night, after the Royals dispatched of the Tigers 3-1 in Detroit, center fielder Lorenzo Cain was being interviewed by Fox Sports Kansas City’s Joel Goldberg when Perez arrived with his cooler of water.

Cain was drenched, of course. After the camera cuts back to Goldberg, listen for Cain’s reaction:

Although it’s not part of that video, after the interview ends, Cain did go sign autographs for fans.
