Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul created a stir Thursday night following his team’s 105-94 loss at Cleveland.
The Clippers were given five technical fouls and Matt Barnes was ejected after a second technical. Paul received one as well after a quick inbounds pass, and he went after Lauren Holtkamp after the game.
“We’re trying to get the ball out fast every time down the court and when we did that she said, ‘Uh-uh,’ and I said, ‘Why uh-uh?’ and she gave me a tech and that’s ridiculous,” Paul told reporters. “If that’s the case, then this might not be for her.”
To be fair, Paul might have said “this might not be for him,” about a male referee. It doesn’t matter the gender of the referee, Paul is probably going to hear from the league about criticizing a referee.

The NBA Referees Association tweeted this on Friday:
Holtkamp played at Drury University in Springfield, Mo. According to a profile in USA Today, she is the third woman to referee in the NBA, following Dee Kantner, who is now the WNBA’s supervisor of officials and Violet Palmer, currently working in the NBA. Holtkamp joined the league full-time this year after working in the Developmental League.
