Kansas and Missouri battle over Royals bragging rights at Republican convention
This wasn’t as bad as the delegates from Colorado leaving the floor of the Republican National Convention on Monday in Cleveland.
However, the delegates from Missouri and Kansas on Tuesday got into a bit of verbal disagreement — over the Royals.
It happened during the roll call. First, the Kansas delegation noted that it was the “home of the greatest fans of the reigning World Series champions, the Kansas City Royals.”
When Missouri stepped to the microphone, the message was: “Kansas, I love you, but Missouri is the home to the World Series champion Kansas City Royal.”
Yeah, it’s actually Royals, but hey he’s got a point. The Royals are located on the Missouri side. But Kansas may have the greatest fans of the Royals.* So maybe both sides are right.
*Kind of hard to prove or disprove that
See, this blog is all about finding common ground, unlike, say politics.
