Fans want Jonny Gomes to go to the White House
Jonny Gomes played in 12 games for the Royals in 2015, collecting five hits in 30 at-bats.
He didn’t play in the postseason, but did knock over a kid while swinging his child after the American League Division Series.
You could argue that his greatest impact came on Nov. 3, when he grabbed a U.S. flag and a microphone at Union Station and reveled in the Royals winning the World Series. Gomes didn’t hold back in his speech as he let the world know which team had conquered the league.
Fans seemed to love it. Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer made a drawing of Gomes his Twitter background.
But on Sunday, news came that Gomes won’t be joining the Royals on Thursday when they visit the White House. Some people agreed with the decision, but many more were furious, including some who aren’t Royals fans:
@Royals come on Royals you are better than that. Let Gomes go to the White House visit.

So what do you think? Should the Royals have invited Jonny Gomes to join them during their visit to the White House?
