It had been 27 years since Bo Jackson hit a home run in an All-Star Game.

Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer broke that streak when he crushed a pitch off Johnny Cueto in the second inning on Tuesday night All-Star Game at Petco Park in San Diego.

Just minutes later, Salvador Perez smashed a two-run shot of his own for the American League. Here they are, courtesy of my boss:

“It kind of felt like my first big-league homer,” Hosmer said on Fox. “It was special.”

Royals fans agreed.
