Sporting KC’s Matt Besler shows off his water-bottle flipping skills

This may sound strange, but the Water Bottle Flip kid wasn’t big news in Germany.

I was out of the country when Mike Senatore’s bottle flip at his school’s talent show went viral, so I missed this bit of, um, news.

Sporting Kansas City’s Matt Besler clearly watched the video. On Friday, U.S. Soccer shared a video of Besler doing his own version of the water-bottle flip.

How about that, huh? In addition to being a world-class defender, Besler is a magician with a water bottle. In case you missed Senatore’s big moment, here it is:
