Fans sound off after Chiefs draft wide receiver Tyreek Hill
An upset fan base is not unusual after the NFL Draft.
There are usually people who question why their favorite team selected a certain player or players. But that’s usually because the fans question the player’s ability.
There were some angry Chiefs fans after the team selected wide receiver Tyreek Hill in the fifth round Saturday, and it had nothing to do with his on-field performance. Hill was kicked off the Oklahoma State team in 2015 after he was charged with domestic abuse by strangulation, a felony under Oklahoma law.
Hill pleaded guilty to beating and choking his pregnant girlfriend, and that is why many people were upset:
Tyreek Hill better hope he never sees the field because KC fans will boo him harder than any raiders player. #Chiefs

Pretty disappointed in the @chiefs you won't get a single cent of my money or another second of my time until you get rid of Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill-- you are not welcome in Kansas City. At least not in the KC I thought I lived in.

If I blast Greg Hardy for being in the league, then I've got to give the same treatment to Tyreek Hill. Embarrassed that our team took him.

It wasn’t all anger. There were a few fans who voiced their support for Hill and believe he deserves a second chance.
Good luck @Tyreek Hill...bad decisions don't make you who you are forever. Look to the heavens, thank the Lord for your first and last opp.

I am in no position to judge Tyreek Hill. I don't condone his actions. I do not hit women, but I am also not without my own sin.

@bobfescoe How do you know? Have you met Tyreek Hill? Sat down and talked with him? Maybe he has changed his life. You're so quick to judge.

Tyreek Hill is beyond fast. Fast is an insult to him. Andy Reid believes in giving ppl 2nd chances. Hopefully Tyreek makes the most of it
